Overview
Delrin provides high strength and stiffness with low friction at an operating temperature of 200° F along with increased dimensional stability with ease of machining ideal for small diameter, thin walled bushings. Other advantages include low moisture absorpstion and low friction coefficient as well as good wear properties suited for a close tolerance in mechanical parts. Delrin has a chemical resistance to hydrocarbons, ketones, ethers, chlorinated solvents (limited service) and alcohols.
