Overview
| GBSA Oil Seals are used worldwide to prevent liquids or lubricants from leaking around rotary shafts or their housing. Their low cost, easy installation, and ability to seal in a wide range of applications make them one of the most widely used seals for rotary shafts. Oil seals typically consist of a rigid case, which presses into a housing bore, and a flexible lip, which is compressed against a rotating shaft. |
Typically, a precise lip compression is maintained through the use of a spring, fitted into a seal lip. GBSA oil seals are available in a variety of designs for different operating conditions. Metal or rubber covered cases, spring or non-spring loaded lips and specialty designs for severe environments are also available. Our lip materials have been specially designed to give the optimum performance in a lip seal.

One of the most effective seal combinations is a GBSA V-seal running against the metal case of a oil seal.
